Everton made to wait for Cahill

Everton FC midfielder Tim Cahill will miss the start of the Premier League season as he continues his recovery from a broken metatarsal. The 28-year-old has not played for the club since 22 March.

On a more positive note for the Merseysiders, Spaniard Mikel Arteta has returned to full training following surgery on a stomach injury in May. Everton have qualified for the UEFA Cup after finishing fifth last season.
