Brazilian Helder heads for Nancy

AS Nancy-Lorraine have continued to reinforce their defensive ranks by signing right-back Helder from EC Juventude in his native Brazil.

The 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the French club, who will compete in the first round of the UEFA Cup in September after finishing fourth in Ligue 1 last season. Apart from midfielder Julien Féret, Nancy have signed only defensive players this summer: Jean Calvé, Joël Sami and Abdeslam Ouaddou arriving along with goalkeeper Thomas Gaudu.
