Bischoff eyeing Arsenal move

Werder Bremen midfielder Amaury Bischoff claims he is set to sign for Arsenal in the near future.

The 21-year-old Frenchman, who has represented his country at Under-18 and Under-20 level, has rejected a contract extension with the Bundesliga club in the hope that he will meet with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to finalise a move to London.

"Arsene Wenger has known about me since I was at Strasbourg (2004-05) and he believes in me," he told German newspaper Bild.
